What does Merchant Services offer?
Merchant Services offers you a wide variety of electronic
payment acceptance methods. Please review the list of payment
types below. Be sure to communicate which services you are
interested in to your Sales Consultant.
- Credit and Debit Card Acceptance: Accept
MasterCard ®, Visa ®, American Express ®, Discover ®, Diner’s
Club ®, PIN-based debit cards and signature-based debit cards.
- Check Conversion into Automated Clearing House
(ACH) Transactions: At the point of sale, convert
paper checks into electronic transactions, verify checks
and guarantee payment if a verified customer’s check bounces.
- ACH Processing: Allow customers to make
recurring payments directly from their checking or savings
accounts.
- E-commerce Services: Equip your website
with a shopping cart as well as inventory, order management
and consumer billing support capabilities.
- Electronic Gift and Loyalty Card Programs: Institute
electronic gift and loyalty card programs.
How to Sign Up!
Merchant Services are provided through our business
partner, Newtek Merchant Solutions. To sign up for merchant processing
please contact Newtek Merchant Solutions at 1-866-243-9342.
Having the following documents handy when you speak with the
Newtek Merchant Solutions Sales Consultant will speed along your
application:
- Proof of Business: Business licenses,
articles of incorporation or clear photos showing permanent
signage and product stock are acceptable. Any other documentation
submitted as proof will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Depositing Account: A business check must
be submitted for depositing account confirmation. Personal
checks are only acceptable for sole proprietors and LLC’s.
A letter from the credit union, on credit union letterhead,
verifying that the business account is acceptable may be
necessary.
- Statements: If you currently accept electronic
payment through another provider, providing Newtek with those
statements will enable your Sales Consultant to provide you
with a competitive quote.
Please note that...
Newtek requires that you sign a personal guarantee in
the event of chargebacks. The personal guarantee:
- Must be signed by an officer, owner, or other person who
has a financial stake in the business
- May be waived if the business is corporate owned and articles
of incorporation are supplied
- May be waived if the business is non-profit and the proof
of nonprofit status is supplied
A credit bureau report will be obtained for the individual signing
the personal guarantee.
- Newtek Merchant Solutions reserves the right to reject
an application for derogatory credit
- Merchants with a credit bureau showing an open bankruptcy
will be declined
- All bankruptcies must be discharged with no new unsatisfactory
accounts and re-established credit since discharge
- Financial statements and/or tax returns may be requested
